Special Engagement · Annual

The Shamans visit Crestone.

Once a year, the Q'ero shamans travel to the United States — and we host them in Crestone, Colorado, a town long known as a sacred place in its own right.

The Q'ero Shamans in Colorado

Each year, John and Kristen host the Q'ero shamans visiting from the High Andes of Peru.

They travel to Crestone, Colorado — a town nested at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo mountains and long recognised as one of the most concentrated sacred sites in North America.

Why This Matters

Direct transmission, on US soil.

The Q'ero shamans rarely leave their high mountain communities. When they do, it is at significant cost — to them and to the tradition. We host them with deep care, and we keep the group size small enough that everyone receives genuine personal time.

For those who can't make the journey to Peru, the Crestone visit is the closest equivalent. For those who have already been to Peru, it's a chance to deepen those relationships on home soil.

During their visit, the shamans:

  • Hold ceremony and group ritual
  • Offer private energy healing sessions
  • Lead sacred despacho offerings and blessings

Lineage on US Soil

One of the only ways to receive ceremony directly from the lineage without travelling to Peru.

Spaces are extremely limited.

Each visit is kept intimate by design — enough space for everyone to receive genuine personal time with the shamans. The waitlist receives advance notice before any public announcement.

This is one of the most significant events Shamanic Trekker hosts each year. If you feel drawn to it, joining the waitlist is the best first step.
